In September 2023, over a hundred schools in the UK closed due to the risk of RAAC collapse, resulting in a surge in demand for prefabricated classrooms. Yaheng Tengfei, as a container house manufacturer, responded to the government's safety requirements for closed schools by providing a solution with foldable container prefabricated classrooms.
The project incorporates 80 Yaheng Tengfei container rooms, covering areas such as classrooms, offices, dormitories, kitchens, cafeterias, bathrooms, entertainment rooms, and warehouses. Foldable container rooms offer flexible combinations, expanding to larger spaces like 36m² or 72m² based on school needs, forming large teaching or dormitory buildings. Rapid installation, with each unit taking 5 minutes, facilitates quick deployment, aiding children in swiftly returning to campus for learning. The framework employs galvanized profiles, ensuring a robust and stable structure with excellent seismic resistance, thereby reducing the risk of collapse.
